The story of Arkansas Tech University has much left to be written, but the pages of its 100-year history reveal great progress. A century ago, Act 100 was passed by with one primary aim: to establish a set of schools that would broaden educational opportunities across the state. What you know today as Arkansas Tech University was a direct result of this legislation.

Now celebrating its centennial anniversary, Arkansas Tech has become a top choice for students seeking an academically progressive four-year education. • Average freshmen ACT scores rank above national and state averages for the 13th consecutive year
• The average ACT score for the class is the highest in university history at 22.57

Our Mission

Student Body

• 7480 students on the Russellville and Ozark campuses
• Fall 2007 was the ninth consecutive year of record enrollment
• Tech students come from every county in Arkansas, 38 of the 50 states plus Washington, D.C., and from 30 foreign countries
• International student enrollment grew over 17 percent from last fall
• 32 percent, or 2400 students, live on campus

• This fall over 40 new faculty and staff members joined the university or assumed new positions.
